The wall lamp — the small detail that changes a hallway

We don't talk enough about wall lamps. Here's why a single vintage Murano sconce can lift the whole entrance.

The first room a guest sees is the hallway. And it's usually the one we think the least about. A single wall lamp can change that.

A Murano sconce typically sits at eye level. It throws light up the wall, casts a warm glow, and removes that clinically-overhead-lit look so many hallways have. When you walk through the door, you're met with something soft instead of something sharp.

What we recommend Hang them in pairs if the wall is long. A single one works fine above a chest of drawers or beside a mirror. Keep them at about 150-160 cm above the floor — that's the height where the light catches faces naturally.

Practical Most vintage wall lamps run on a standard E14 socket. We test everything before shipping, and we can rewire to EU standard if needed.
