The mushroom lamp — a small love letter

Why the round lamp on the bedside table is the one we sell most often. And why it works in almost any room.

The mushroom lamp is the little round Murano table lamp — dome and base in the same shape, often in milky white or pastel glass with coloured stripes. It's the one we sell the most of. And we get why.

It barely takes up any space on a bedside table. It gives a soft, indirect light that doesn't dazzle. It fits in both a tight Scandinavian bedroom and a more maximalist living room. And honestly, it's just lovely to look at — even when it's off.

Most of the mushrooms we find are from the 70s. The makers were Vetri, Murano Due, Vistosi — but most were never signed. It's just what Italian glassmakers were doing back then.

Looking after it The mushroom glass is often a little thinner than other Murano pieces. Wipe it down with a damp soft cloth, skip the soap, and don't leave it in direct sunlight for hours on end — the colours can fade over years.
